Bad attitude barber shop

the project goal

Bad attitude, great logo.

Bold, rebellious, edgy, unfiltered. The keywords that were used to describe this new barber shop's identity.

They wanted a crow as the central element, incorporating a barber's blade to symbolise the craft. The challenge was to create something raw and unconventional—something that would stand out from the typical barber shop aesthetic while still maintaining a strong connection to the trade.

the solution

To meet the client’s vision, I explored a

grunge-style approach that reflected the shop’s attitude—dark, intense, and full of movement.

Instead of a static crow holding a blade, I pushed the concept further: two crows fighting over a barber blade.

This not only created a more dynamic composition but also reinforced themes of grit, competition, and sharp precision—qualities that resonate with the barbering industry.

The design was brought to life with rough textures, bold contrast, and an overall distressed aesthetic to match the shop’s tough, unapologetic branding.

the final result

The final design is a striking and aggressive visual that immediately captures attention. The two crows, mid-battle over the razor, embody the shop’s rebellious nature while subtly nodding to the precision and skill of barbering.

To further enhance the brand identity, we incorporated the logo into a badge-style design, featuring the name Bad Attitude Studios wrapped around the circle in a sharp, gothic-style font, with 2025 included to mark the year the shop opened. This badge design enhances the visual impact and provides the brand with a versatile mark for use across various materials. The grunge-style texture adds depth and authenticity, ensuring the logo feels raw and untamed—exactly what the brand stands for. The client loved the outcome, as it perfectly aligned with their vision of an alternative, no-nonsense barber shop with attitude.

the shop details

To bring the branding into the shop’s interior, we designed a custom font that complements the grunge aesthetic and used it to create a large white wall sticker, prominently displayed inside. We also made a series of custom posters in frames, adding unique details to the walls while reinforcing the shop’s strong identity.

Finally, we designed a bold and trailing large plastic sign for the front door, featuring the new logo, ensuring the branding stands out from the moment customers step inside.
